Queensbury slips past Lady Bills

JOHNSTOWN — Allison Morey collected 10 saves in goal for Johnstown but is was not enough to stop the Queensbury Lady Spartans as they posted a 3-0 Foothills Council victory over the Lady Bills Thursday at Johnstown High School.

Queensbury got a pair of goals from Maddie Montgomery and one from Brigid Duffy in the victory.

Queensbury held a 6-4 edge in corner kicks, while Lady Spartans’ goalkeeper Lily Buck collected five saves.

Johnstown (3-2 overall, 2-2 Foothills) will return to Foothills South Division play Tuesday when it travels to play Amsterdam under the lights at the Lynch Literacy Academy.

Amsterdam 7, Glens Falls 0

AMSTERDAM — Haley Madej and Antonia May connected for two goals apiece as the Lady Rams improved to 3-1 on the season and 2-1 against Foothills Council opponents.

Jael Irizarry and Lucia Liverio added goals for Amsterdam to go with an own goal by the Lady Indians.

South Glens Falls 8, Broadalbin-Perth 0

BROADALBIN — Amya Naja and Jess Winslow scored two goals apiece to lead the Bulldogs to the Foothills Council victory.

Naja added an assist to her game stats, while Brooke DelSignore and Marley James both had a goal and an assist, while Morgan Smith and Zoe Lanfear added goals.

Morgan Rossi made 10 saves in net for Broadalbin-Perth, while Morgan French made one stop for South High.
