H.S. Bowling Roundup: Gloversville bowlers sweep Broadalbin-Perth

GLOVERSVILLE — Mark Sgambato came within one pin of a perfect game, rolling a 299, to lead Gloversville to a 4-0 victory over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council bowling match Monday at Arterial Lanes.

Sgambato finished with a 737 series for the Huskies.

Lane Daley had a 623 series for Gloversville, while Adam Loveless added a 238-620. Derek Taylor added a 249 high game for the Huskies.

Zach Rinehart rolled a 248-612 for Broadalbin-Perth, while Jared Eipp added a 210-576. Mike Piska added a 506 series for the Patriots.

Gloversville finished with a 3,754-2,988 advantage in total pins.

Johnstown 2, Scotia-Glenville 2

SCHENECTADY — Garrett Way rolled a 278-708 to lead Johnstown to tie with Scotia-Glenville in a Foothills Council victory at Boulevard Bowl.

Ethan Hadcock posted a 259-644 for the Sir Bills, while Hunter Meher had a 256-641.

Andy Sitterly posted a 225-624 for Johnstown and Mick Winton added a 248-607.

Austin Zullo finished with a 687 series for Scotia-Glenville, while Jacob McKenzie had a 667.

Johnstown finished with a 3,727-3,687 advantage in total pins.

Canajoharie 4, Fonda-Fultonvile 0

AMSTERDAM — Cian DiMezza finished with a 213-563 to lead Canajoharie to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fonda-Fultonville at Imperial Lanes.

Brady Sickler had a 234-535 for the Cougars, Brandon Hazzard posted a 185-508 and Brandon King added a 201-487.

Dylan Livingston finished with a 199-481 to lead Fonda-Fultonville, while Ethan Auspelmyer had a 176-477. Connor Barnes posted a 173-448 for the Braves and Korey Davis added a 181-451.

Canajoharie finished with a 2,615-2,223 advantage in total pins.

Bishop Gibbons 3, Fort Plain 1

CANAJOHARIE — Joey Mattala finished with a 201-563 to lead Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fort Plain at Iroquois Lanes.

Matt Belcher rolled a 196-508 for the Knights.

Jacob Hazlett posted a 175-509 to lead Fort Plain, while Brady Fureno added a 178-488.

Bishop Gibbons finished with a 2,532-2,363 advantage in total pins.

Canajoharie 4, Fonda-Fultonvile 0

AMSTERDAM — Chloe Hoffman posted a 160-443 to lead Canajoharie to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fonda-Fultonville at Imperial Lanes.

Melissa Bates recorded a 131-348 for the Cougars.

Aubrey Krohn finished with a 139-372 to lead Fonda-Fultonville, while Crystal Coleman had a 133-340.

Canajoharie finished with a 1,641-1,562 advantage in total pins.
