AHS swimmers lose to Ravena, 80-70

AMSTERDAM — Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk won just four of 11 events, but used its depth to post an 80-70 victory over Amsterdam in a non-league boys swim meet at Lynch Literacy Academy on Friday.

Jared Lamson (1-meter diving), Christopher Boroweic (100-yard freestyle), Ryan Zampella (500 freestyle) and Druhan Gordon-Stacey (100 backstroke) all won events for the Indians.

Trevor Dzikowicz (200 freestyle, 100 butterfly) and Thomas Knack (200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke) each won two events for Amsterdam, while Lucas Sarabia (50 freestyle) also posted a win.

The Rams also won the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.

In the 200 medley relay, the team of Alex Slovack, Knack, Dzikowicz and Sarabia won with a time of 1:59.87.

In the 200 freestyle relay, the team of Knack, Slovack, Sarabia and Dzikowicz won with a time of 1:46.78.

The 400 freestyle relay was not scored.
