Fo-Jo swimmers lose to Ravena

RAVENA — Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk won eight of 12 events on its way to an 85-76 victory over Fonda-Johnstown in a non-league boys swim meet Monday.

Druhan Gordon-Stacey won the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly for the Indians, while Christopher Boroweic won the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle. Ryan Zampella posted victories in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke for RCS, while Jared Lamson won the 1-meter diving event. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk also won the 200 medley relay.

Ben Poitras (50 freestyle) and Jacob Miller (500 freestyle) won individual events for Fonda-Johnstown (1-6 overall), which also claimed victories in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays.

In the 200 freestyle relay, the team of Poitras, Miller, Kaleb Sluti and Tyler Benton won with a time of 1:51.37.

In the 400 freestyle relay, the team of Miller, Poitras, Sluti and Benton won with a time of 4:21.16.
