H.S. Bowling Roundup: Cougars sweep Hilltoppers, 4-0

CANAJOHARIE — Cian DiMezza finished with a high game of 249 and a 685 series to lead Canajoharie to a 3-1 victory over Fort Plain in a Western Athletic Conference boys bowling match Wednesday at Iroquois Lanes.

Braedy Sickler finished with a 213-534 for the Cougars, while Brandon King recorded a 197-501.

Canajoharie finished with a 2,741-2,707 advantage in total pins.

Zack Young rolled a 246-599 to lead Fort Plain, while Brady Fureno finished a 193-544. Jacob Hazlett added 196-522 for the Hilltoppers.

Middleburgh 4, Mayfield 0

GLOVERSVILLE — Don Mann posted a 269-706 to lead Middleburgh to a WAC victory over Mayfield at Arterial Lanes.

Kevin Guest rolled a 223-631 for the Knights, Garret Dupont had a 235-619 and Andrew Miaski added a 213-599. Middleburgh finished with a 3,188-2,774 advantage in total pins.

Adam Colby led Mayfield with a 264-685, while Tyler Cramer posted a 253-660.

The Panthers are scheduled to travel to Schenectady today to face Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons at Sportsman’s Bowl.



Fort Plain 4, Canajoharie 0

CANAJOHARIE — Rachel Zuppardi finished with a 191-462 to lead Fort Plain to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Canajoharie at Iroquois Lanes.

Gabriella Jenks rolled a 157-395 for Fort Plain, which finished with an 1,812-1,569 advantage in total pins.

Katelyn Kruger led Canajoharie with a 145-385. Chloe Hoffman added a 148-354 for the Lady Cougars.

Middleburgh 4, Mayfield 0

GLOVERSVILLE — Carolyne Shultes rolled games of 225 and 202 on her way o a 626 series to lead Middleburgh to a WAC victory over Mayfield at Arterial Lanes.

Jaidyn Rose posted a 187-499 for the Knights, Krystal Neel had a 173-493 and Katie Shuttig posted a 199-462. Cameryn Shultes added a 161-423 for Middleburgh, which finished with a 2,503-1,594 advantage in total pins.

Megan Dion rolled a 146-382 to lead Mayfield, while Savannah Pierce posted a 144-360. Danielle Skellie added a 127-344 for the Lady Panthers.
