H.S. Bowling Roundup: Gloversville tops Amsterdam, 3-1

GLOVERSVILLE — Adam Loveless rolled games of 270 and 223 on his way to a 682 series to lead Gloversville to a 3-1 victory over Amsterdam in a Foothills Council bowling match Friday at Arterial Lanes.

Mark Sgambato posted a 246-677 for the Huskies, Derek Taylor had a 257-634 and Aiden Carter finished with a 255-623. Lane Daley posted a 247-593 for Gloversville and A.J. Dorman added a 226-569. The Huskies finished with a 3,778-3,426 advantage in total pins.

Jake Preville led Amsterdam with a 268-718, while Mike Hughes rolled a 217-603. Jon Schultz posted a 220-585 for the Rams and Fred Pinto added a 202-557.

Gloversville is scheduled to travel to Johnstown on Monday for a Foothills Council match at Perry Lanes.

Johnstown 4, Hudson Falls 0

FORT EDWARD — Ethan Hadcock rolled a 266-696 to lead Johnstown to a victory over Hudson Falls in a Foothills Council match Thursday at Broadway Lanes.

Garrett Way posted a 226-638 for the Sir Bills, while Mick Winton had a 205-588. Andy Sitterly added a 233-563 for Johnstown, which finished with a 3,540-3,176 advantage in total pins. Hunter Meher added a 516 series for the Sir Bills.

Taylor Markham finished with a 247-631 to lead Hudson Falls, while Patrick Randall had a 235-625. Logan Bennett posted a 210-599 for the Tigers and Gavin Bennett added a 183-512.

Johnstown is slated to host Gloversville in a Foothills Council match Monday at Perry Lanes, while Hudson Falls is scheduled to host Broadalbin-Perth on Monday at Broadway Lanes.

GLOVERSVILLE — Aiden Carter posted a 257-693 to lead Gloversville to a Foothills Council victory over Queensbury at Arterial Lanes on Thursday.

Derek Taylor finished with a 257-665 for the Huskies, Lane Daley rolled a 232-630 and Mark Sgambato posted a 220-604. Adam Loveless added 215-598 for Gloversville, which finished with a 3,696-3,190 advantage in total pins.

Matt King posted a 254-636 to lead Queensbury, while Cameron Fuller had a 253-617. Phil Rock rolled a 213-536 for the Spartans and Alyssa Clark added a 194-519.

GUILDERLAND — Ashton Spicci rolled a 193-508 to lead Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Berne-Knox-Westerlo at Town N Country Lanes on Thursday.

Skyler Barker posted a 183-460 for the Wolves, while Keagan Clemons had a 188-458. OESJ finished with a 2,233-2,177 advantage in total pins.

Sebastian Iarusso had a 206-562 to lead Berne-Knox-Westerlo, while Dylan Hempstead added a 201-531.

Middleburgh 4, OESJ 0

GUILDERLAND — Kevin Guest posted games of 247. 235 and 231 to record a 713 series to lead Middleburgh to a WAC victory over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville at Town N Country Lanes on Thursday.

Donovan Mann rolled a 223-614 for the Knights, Tyler Mann had a 212-586 and Garret Dupont added a 200-553. Middleburgh finished with a 2,051-2,233 advantage in total pins.

Ashton Spicci led OESJ with a 193-508, while Skyler Barker rolled a 183-464. Keagan Clemons added a 188-458 for the Wolves.

GUILDERLAND — Carolyne Shultes registered a 195-524 to lead Middleburgh to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville at Town N Country Lanes.

Jaidyn Rose posted a 183-519 for the Knights, while Cameryn Shultes finished with a 210-504. Middleburgh finished with a 2,425-1,476 advantage in total pins.

Samantha Weaver rolled a 125-330 to lead OESJ.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 4, Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 0

GUILDERLAND — Hannah Young had games of 275 and 213 on her way to a 672 series to lead Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a 4-0 victory over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville in a WAC match at Town N Country Lanes on Thursday.

Cassie Schanz posted a 179-487 for the Bulldogs, while Graycie Swain had a 158-430. BKW finished with a 2,324-1,426 advantage in total pins.

Sarah Carl led OESJ with a 129-361, while Sam Weaver added a 138-330.
