H.S. Bowling Roundup: Patriots sweep Schuylerville to claim first victory of season

AMSTERDAM — Alex Filmer finished with a 254-677 to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a 4-0 sweep of Schuylerville on Tuesday in a Foothills Council bowling match at Imperial Lanes.

It was the first win of the season for B-P.

Zach Rinehart rolled a 226-614 for the Patriots (8-52 Foothills), while Mike Piska posted a 223-565. B-P finished with a 3,219-2,895 advantage in total pins.

Logan Steele recorded a 211-581 to lead Schuylerville (12-52 Foothills), Colton Weatherwax had a 196-556 and Ethan Corlew added a 203-541.

B-P is slated to travel to Scotia-Glenville on Thursday.

Amsterdam 3, Hudson Falls 1

FORT EDWARD — Jake Preville finished with a 223-606 to lead Amsterdam to a Foothills Council victory over Hudson Falls at Broadway Lanes.

Mike Hughes posted a 238-594 for the Rams, while Jon Schultz had a 205-581. Nate Grant added a 230-572 for Amsterdam (48-12 Foothills), which finished with a 3,401-3,389 advantage in total pins.

Taylor Markham posted a 258-633 to lead Hudson Falls, Gavin Bennett rolled a 216-632 and Aaron Fuller had a 218-555. Logan Bennett added a 203-547 for the Tigers.

Scotia-Glenville 2, South Glens Falls 2

SCHENECTADY — Cheyanne McPhail rolled a 268-650 to help Scotia-Glenville earn a draw with South Glens Falls in a Foothills Council match at Boulevard Bowl.

Austin Zullo had a 615 series for the Tartans, while Jacob McKenzie posted a 609.

Jarrett Morris had a 683 series to lead South Glens Falls, while Jarred Tessier had a 242-632. Jack Comar posted a 615 series for the Bulldogs, who finished with a 3,567-3,513 advantage in total pins.

Queensbury 4, Glens Falls 0

SOUTH GLENS FALLS — Matt King finished with a 247-660 to lead Queensbury to a Foothills Council victory over Glens Falls at Kingpin’s Alley.

Will Doner rolled a 269-646 for the Spartans, Cameron Fuller had a 210-600 and Tony Fedele added a 210-554. Queensbury (28-36 Foothills) finished with a 3,533-3,113 advantage in total pins.

Austin Montello posted a 232-627 to lead Glens Falls (9-55 Foothills), Payton Granger had a 202-564 and Kamani Smith added a 213-542.

Jacob Harmon added a 190-518 for the Indians.

Fort Plain 4, Fonda-Fultonville 0

AMSTERDAM — Brady Fureno posted a 236-698 to lead Fort Plain to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fonda-Fultonville at Imperial Lanes.

Jacob Hazlett registered a 243-648 for the Hilltoppers, Zack Young had a 222-613 and Cameron Suits finished with a 222-595.

Damien Young 237-587 posted a 237-587 for Fort Plain and Anthony Paradiso added a 204-531. The Hilltoppers finished with a 3,210-2,293 advantage in total pins.

Connor Barnes rolled a 186-475 to lead Fonda-Fultonville, while Korey Davis had a 158-470.

Anthony Cannizzaro added a 163-458 for the Braves.

Bishop Gibbons 3, Canajoharie 1

CANAJOHARIE — Alex Belcher rolled a 223-607 to lead Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Canajoharie at Iroquois Lanes.

Joey Mattala posted a 186-528 for the Golden Knights, who finished with a 2,697-2,580 advantage in total pins.

Cian DiMezza posted a 227-623 to lead Canajoharie and Brandon King had a 201-518.

Canajoharie is slated to host Fort Plain today at 4 p.m.

Fort Plain 4, Fonda-Fultonville 0

AMSTERDAM — Gabriella Jenks had a high game of 157 and a 419 series to lead Fort Plain to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fonda-Fultonville at Imperial Lanes.

Emma Oldick posted a 178-419 for the Lady Hilltoppers, while Rachel Zuppardi had a 142-410.

Fort Plain finished with a 1,877-1,485 advantage in total pins.

Nicole Rowe posted a 118-349 to lead Fonda-Fultonville, while Crystal Coleman had a 127-338. Aubrey Krohn added a 111-322 for the Lady Braves.
