WELLS — The Wells boys basketball team picked up the sixth seed in the Section VII Class D tournament at Sunday’s seeding meetings.
The Indians posted a 12-8 record on the season and received a first-round bye. Wells will open its postseason play on the road at third-seeded Crown Point at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Wells and Crown Point split their regular-season games with the Panthers with Crown Point winning the first game 63-46 and the Indians avenging the loss with a 64-62 victory on their home floor.
The Wells Lady Indians opted not to participate in sectionals.
