HUDSON FALLS — The Gloversville tennis team opened its season with two wins over Hudson Falls in a Foothills Council doubleheader Monday.
The Huskies won both matches by scores of 7-0.
In the first match, Damian Bruce, Ryan Issa, Kaden O’Shaughnessy, Devina Eberts and Cam Biche all won singles matches for Gloversville. Marawan Abbas and Feras Masri won at first doubles for the Huskies, while Nicholas Bruce and Zach Catucci won at second doubles.
In the second match, Damian Bruce, Issa, O’Shaughnessy, Eberts and Catucci won singles matches for Gloversville.
Abbas and Masri won at first doubles for the Huskies and Biche and Nicholas Bruce won at second doubles.
Gloversville (2-0 overall, 2-0 Foothills) is scheduled to travel to South Glens Falls on Wednesday for a 4:30 p.m. match.

AMSTERDAM — Dan Van Eps and Nicholas Antonelli won singles matches to help Amsterdam post a victory over Schuylerville in its season opener.
Mike Machold and Spencer Flint won at first doubles for the Rams, while Stephen Knack and Torin Nethaway won at second doubles.
Khial Hailu, Dominic Vito and Owen Greene all won singles matches for Schuylerville (0-1 overall, 0-1 Foothills).
Amsterdam (1-0 overall, 1-0 Foothills) is scheduled to host Queensbury on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
