FONDA — Powered by a seven-run third inning, the Fonda-Fultonville Braves defeated Schoharie 10-3 in Western Athletic Conference action Thursday afternoon at Fonda-Fultonville High School.
With the victory the Braves improved to 6-3 overall and 6-1 in the conference and qualified for the Section II tournament.
Luke Neff had a double, two singles and an RBI for the Braves, while Myles Anderson had two singles and two RBIs. Massimo DiCaprio and Brady Myles had two singles and an RBI apiece, while Kyle Lawyer had two singles.
Stephen Alescio and Skyler Jankowski both doubled for Schoharie (3-2 WAC), while Josh Scheuer had two singles.

PERTH — The Black Horses scored six times in the fourth inning to break open a tie ball game and defeat Broadalbin-Perth Thursday at the Broadalbin-Perth Middle School.
Brodryck Benton had a double and walked twice for the Patriots, while Matt Hinderliter had two singles and a stolen base. Benton struck out six in 4 2/3 innings on the mound.
