JOHNSTOWN — Danielle Winney finished with two singles and a double to lead Broadalbin-Perth to an 18-16 victory over Johnstown in a Foothills Council South Division softball game Wednesday at Johnstown High School.
It was the first win since 2016 for the Lady Patriots, who went 0-14 last season.
Kayla Weaver had two singles for B-P (1-0 overall, 1-0 Foothills), while Morgan Rossi, Kylie Stigberg, Adrienne Morreale, Mackenzie Makarowsky, Kara Terwilliger and Mackenzie Wilkins all had singles.
Alex Thiessen had four singles for Johnstown, while Joelle Bump had two singles and a triple. Grace Giarrizzo finished with a single and a double for the Lady Bills, Sydney Darling had a pair of doubles, and Josie Mowrey and Zoe Petrie each had two singles.
Johnstown (0-2 overall, 0-2 Foothills) is scheduled to travel to Amsterdam today for a 4:30 p.m. contest.

SCHUYLERVILLE — Teagan Andrews strike out 15 to lead Schuylerville to a Foothills Council victory over Gloversville.
Andrews also had a single and two RBIs for the Black Horses.
Caitlin Kelleher was 2-for-3 for Schuylerville (5-0 overall, 2-0 Foothills), while Chrissy Putman was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Sheyenne Beach, Michaela Ponticello and Alex Benfatti all had two hits for Gloversville (0-2 overall, 0-1 Foothills). Jen Vickery and Beach each had doubles for the Huskies.
Gloversville is scheduled to host Saratoga Catholic today at 4:15 p.m.
