JOHNSTOWN — After losing for the first time this season Friday at Queensbury, the Johnstown girls lacrosse team rebounded with a Foothills Council victory over South Glens Falls on Monday at Knox Field.
The Lady Bills posted a 15-6 win over the Bulldogs, outscoring them 15-6 in the opening half.
Abbey Hollister led Johnstown with three goals and two assists, while Maddie Etherton and Alexandra Queeney each had three goals and an assist.
Amber Tesi and Madison Delgado each had two goals and an assist for the Lady Bills, and Rachel Lee and Emily Clizbe each scored one.
Annika Kreppein and Erica Paton each scored twice for South Glens Falls, while Emily Bovair and Lauren Willis each scored once.
Emily Wheelis made 13 saves for Johnstown (5-1 overall, 4-1 Foothills).
In Friday’s loss at Queensbury, Rachel Spaulding led the Spartans with four goals and seven assists and Lauren White had five goals and two assists.
Madeline Montgomery had four goals and an assist for Queensbury, while Bridgid Duffy and Meghan O’Connor each had three goals. Jordan Bentley, Claudia Pollaro and Brittany Barton all scored two for the Spartans and Meghan Chase scored once.
Lee and Queeney scored for Johnstown, which is scheduled to host Greenwich on Friday at 6 p.m. at Knox Field.
