COBLESKILL — The SUNY Cobleskill Department of Sport & Exercise announced Monday that senior Jeremy Mowrey, a Johnstown graduate and member of the men’s lacrosse team, has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week for the week end April 8.
The senior attackman had three goals and an assist in the Fighting Tigers 7-6 non-conference win over the Dolphins of The College of Mountain Saint Vincent on April 4, including the eventual game winner with 1:54 left in regulation.
Mowrey added two goals and two assists in the team’s 15-6 North Eastern Athletic Conference loss at SUNY Polytechnic Institute on Saturday as the Fighting Tigers fell to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in NEAC play.
For the season, Mowrey has scored 13 goals, including a pair of game winners for Cobleskill. He also has four assists on the season for a total of 17 points, while picking up 17 groundballs on the year.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action Wednesday when they are schedule to host Cazenovia College in NEAC action at 4 p.m.
