GLENS FALLS — The Amsterdam Lady Rams rallied from a 2-0 deficit to put up five runs in their final two at-bats to bring home a 5-2 victory from Glens Falls in Foothills Council softball action Monday in Glens Falls.
Sydney Szczepanik picked up the complete-game victory for Amsterdam, striking out seven and giving up one earned run.
Karly Power had two singles and two RBIs for the Lady Rams, while Szczepanik added two singles and a run scored. Shelby LaMont had a single, two RBIs and a run scored, while Emma Patrei had a single and two runs scored and Giuliana Pritchard had a single and an RBI.
Lexi Cutter had a triple and a single for Glens Falls and Steph Meehan added a double and a run scored.

Queensbury 24, Gloversville 5
QUEENSBURY — Michaela Ponticello went 3-for-3 with a home run for Gloversville but it was not enough as the Huskies fell to Queensbury in Foothills Council action Monday at Queensbury High School.
Alex Benfatti had a pair of singles for Gloversville, while Sheyenne Beach had a double and two RBIs.
Jasmin Pepe homered and drove in four runs for Queensbury (5-4 overall, 5-2 Foothills), while Karley Hertzner went 4-for-5 with five RBIs and Megan Chamberlain was 3-for-4 with four RBIs.
Gloversville is scheduled to host Saratoga Central Catholic in a non-league game at 4:30 p.m. today and Glens Falls at 5 p.m. Wednesday in a Foothills Council game at Gloversville High School.

SCOTIA — Maddie Capozucca struck out 10 in her two-hit performance in the circle and connected for a double to help South Glens Falls improve to 11-0 on the season and 6-0 against Foothills Council rivals.
Leah VanDerwarker tripled for South High, while Emily Joss had a two-RBI double and Aleigha McAllister had a single and two RBIs.
Kelly Mayette had an RBI double for Scotia-Glenville, while Grace Purvis singled.
