Girls Lacrosse Roundup: Johnstown loses to Schuylerville, 20-5

JOHNSTOWN — Amy Moreau finished with seven goals and two assists to power Schuylerville to a 20-5 victory over Johnstown in a Foothills Council girls lacrosse game Friday at Johnstown High School.

Grace Hanehan had six goals for the Black Horses, while Cassie Patrick had two goals and an assist. Hailey Abrusato scored twice for Schuylerville, Allison Burnham had a goal and three assists and Morgan Hunter added a goal and an assist. Brook Thomas also scored for the Black Horses.

Alexandra Queeney scored three goals to lead Johnstown (7-4 overall, 6-4 Foothills), while Paige Stewart and Abbey Hollister also scored.

Taylor Berrigan made 14 saves for Schuylerville.

Amsterdam 12, Glens Falls 7

GLENS FALLS — Kayli Hoefs finished with eight goals and an assist to lead Amsterdam to a Foothills Council victory over Glens Falls.

It was the first win of the season for the Lady Rams.

Lucia Liverio had four goals and two assists for Amsterdam (1-9 overall, 1-7 Foothills), while Lily Orengo added an assist.

Paige Bertuch made 11 saves for the Lady Rams.
