QUEENSBURY — The Queensbury Spartans recorded their 14th-straight victory and locked up their 12th Foothills Council title Thursday with a 17-1 win over Amsterdam at Queensbury High School.
Paul Wright had three goals and an assist for Queensbury (14-1 overall, 9-0 Foothills), while Alex Chirgwin had three goals and Kyle Sokol chipped in with two goals and two assists.
Jose Merced scored the lone goal for Amsterdam (2-11, 0-9), while Matt Johnstown made 13 saves in goal for the Rams.
