FMCC men’s soccer loses to Cayuga

AUBURN — Aboubacar Darbo scored twice to lead Cayuga Community College to a 4-1 victory over Fulton-Montgomery Community College in a Region 3 men’s soccer contest Sunday.

Kent Meier and Pablo Ortiz also scored for Cayuga, while Ryan Higgins and Eduardo Olavide each had an assist.

Ahmed Mourad scored the lone goal for FMCC on an assist from Yasser Mourad.

Daniel Burdaspar made one save for Cayuga, while Jonathan Mendoza (8 saves) and Lawrence Durudogan (2 saves) split time in goal for the Raiders.

On Saturday, FMCC posted a 5-2 victory at Niagara County Community College.

FMCC (4-3-1 overall) is scheduled to travel to Tompkins Cortland Community College on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest.
