Girls Soccer Roundup: Galway girls lose to Hoosick Falls, 6-0

HOOSICK FALLS — Phoebe Thompson scored three goals and had two assists to lead Hoosick Falls to a 6-0 victory over Galway in a non-league girls soccer contest Tuesday.

Grace Wysocki had two goals and two assists for the Lady Panthers, while Olivia Brownell had a goal and two assists. Josie Ryan and Kylei Ruebel each had an assist for Hoosick Falls.

Ruth Reichard made five saves for Galway, while Maddy Yeung made three saves for Hoosick Falls.

Waterville Tournament

Norwich 2, Dolgeville 1

WATERVILLE — Nicole Jeffery and Morgan Conkling scored to lead Norwich to a victory over Dolgeville in the first round of the Waterville Tournament.

Rylee Lamphere scored the lone goal for Dolgeville on an assist from Emma Bilinski.

Saige Benedict made five saves for Norwich, while Ryanne Williams made 15 saves for the Blue Devils.

In the other first-round game, host Waterville posted a 5-0 victory over Brookfield.

Waterville will face Norwich in Saturday’s championship game at 5 p.m., while Dolgeville will face Brookfield in the consolation game at 1 p.m.
