H.S. Volleyball Roundup: Broadalbin-Perth sweeps Scotia, 3-0

SCOTIA — Lilly Mitchell finished with 16 assists, five aces and four digs to help Broadalbin-Perth post a 3-0 victory over Scotia-Glenville in a Foothills Council volleyball match Friday.

The Lady Patriots won by scores of 25-7, 25-11 and 25-13.

Sydney Rogers had six kills and two aces for B-P (2-0 overall, 2-0 Foothills), while Madison Fariello had four aces, three kills and two blocks.

Maddie Wright had 15 assists for Scotia-Glenville (0-2 Foothills), while Maya Bellamy and Serena Sweet each had seven kills.


Mayfield 3, Queensbury 2

MAYFIELD — Mikayla Myers finished with 24 digs, 20 kills, 13 points and four blocks to lead Mayfield to a victory over Queensbury in a non-league match.

The Lady Panthers lost the first two games by scores of 25-16 and 25-16, before rallying to win the final three games by scores of 25-20, 25-21 and 25-21.

Emily Mormando had 40 assists, 12 digs and eight points for Mayfield, Samantha Kent had 17 digs, 15 kills and six points, and Amy Laubenstein posted 31 digs, nine points and seven kills.

Isabelle Henderson recorded nine digs for the Lady Panthers, and Katie LaGrange added 15 digs, nine points and three blocks.

Isabella Carusone had 25 digs for Queensbury (1-1 overall), while Bailey Gengel had 50 assists, 12 digs and three blocks. Isabella Salatino added 18 kills for the Spartans.

Mayfield (2-0 overall) is scheduled to travel to Amsterdam on Monday for a 6 p.m. non-league contest.
