MAYFIELD — Deandra Myers finished with 12 service points, four digs and two blocks to lead Mayfield to a 3-0 victory over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville in a Western Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers won by scores of 25-4, 25-16 and 25-10.
Isabelle Henderson posted eight points, two blocks and two kills for Mayfield (4-0 overall, 2-0 WAC), while Taylor Proctor had seven points, five digs, four assists, three aces and two kills.
Amy Laubenstein finished with four digs and four kills for the Lady Panthers, Lila King had seven points and four digs, and Emily Mormando recorded seven assists and two blocks.
Katie LaGrange registered seven points, three aces and two kills for Mayfield, Sam Kent had three kills and Jordan Rivenburg notched two kills. Mikayla Myers and Grace Harper each added four digs for the Lady Panthers.
Kenidee Oare finished with three kills for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville, while Mackenzie Smith and Fontana LaCoppola each had two kills. Meadow Arduni added two aces for the Lady Wolves and Shaina Golladay added three assists.
Mayfield is scheduled to travel to Duanesburg on Thursday for a 6 p.m. contest, while OESJ is scheduled to travel to Canajoharie-Fort Plain on Thursday for a 6 p.m. match.
Canajoharie-Fort Plain 3, Mekeel Christian 1
FORT PLAIN — Sarah Paradiso registered 21 assists, 18 service points and 10 aces to lead Canajoharie-Fort Plain to a WAC victory over Mekeel Christian Academy.
C-FP won by scores of 25-11, 25-14, 19-25 and 25-16.
Kayla Hayner with 13 kills, seven points and six aces for C-FP (2-1 overall, 1-1 WAC), Cara Porter had five kills and three blocks, and Sydney Shepard had nine points, seven aces and two kills. Lauren Weinberger added 11 digs, three aces and three points for Canajoharie-Fort Plain.
Chloe Ekstein finished with eight service points for Mekeel Christian (0-3 overall, 0-2 WAC), while Anna Jayrt had five kills, one block and one assist.
Duanesburg 3, Fonda-Fultonville 0
FONDA — Victoria Passono finished with 12 service points, seven kills, six aces and four blocks to lead Duanesburg to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fonda-Fultonville.
The Eagles won by scores of 25-20, 26-24 and 25-22.
Emelia Vardai-Davidson had 14 digs, 10 assists and three aces for Fonda-Fultonville (1-1 overall, 1-1 WAC), while Marilyn Whitcavitch finished with four aces. Casey Knowlton added two solo blocks for the Lady Braves.
Fonda-Fultonville is scheduled to travel to the Cobleskill-Richmondville Tournament on Saturday.
Galway 3, Queensbury 2
GALWAY — Lindsay Zawisa finished with 24 digs, 16 points, 13 kills, six aces, five assists and five blocks to lead Galway to a non-league victory over Queensbury.
The Golden Eagles lost the first two sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-17, before rallying to win the final three sets by scores of 25-12, 25-11 and 25-18.
Emma Smith posted 18 digs, 17 points 16 assists, eight kills, four blocks and two aces for Galway (2-0 overall), while Katy Kurtzner recorded 46 digs, 11 points and two aces. Hannah Hoffman added 22 assists and 10 points for the Golden Eagles.
