AHS swimmers lose to Albany, 91-60

ALBANY — Albany won nine of 12 events on its way to a 91-60 victory over Amsterdam in a non-league girls swim meet Monday at Albany High School.

Brogan Monroe won the 200-yard individual medley and the 200-yard butterfly for Albany, while Maggie Carroll (200 freestyle), Olivia Hampson (50 freestyle), Anna Flanders (1-meter diving), Zsofia Mantica (100 freestyle), Hans Samonte (500 freestyle) and Faith O’Toole (100 backstroke) also posted victories.

The Falcons also won the 200 medley relay.

Ferneidy Dotel posted the lone individual event win for Amsterdam, picking up the victory in the 100 breaststroke.

The Lady Rams also won the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays.

In the 200 freestyle relay, the team of Azia Aldi, Kelly Kilgallen, Dotel and Mackenzie Farina won with a time of 2:07.31.

Julianna Busseno, Anastacia Montalvo, Amelia Barkevich and Aldi won the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 4:24.68.
