FMCC men, women lose to Onondaga

SYRACUSE — Sydni Eure scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help Onondaga Community College to a 59-55 victory over Fulton-Montgomery Community College in a Region III women’s basketball contest Saturday.

The Lady Raiders led 28-25 at the half before the Lazers rallied for the victory.

DiAsia DeBoue led FMCC with 17 points. She also had five assists and four rebounds.

Niaimani Marshall had 13 points and five rebounds for the Lady Raiders, while McKiea Weekes had 12 points and 22 rebounds. Barbara Inez-McKinney added 17 rebounds and eight points for FMCC.

In the men’s game, Isaiah Brinkley scored 52 points to lead Onondaga Community College to a 101-98 overtime victory over Fulton-Montgomery Community College.

Qeyion Williams had 12 points for the Lazers, while Chris Allen had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The FMCC men (2-1 overall) are scheduled to host SUNY Adirondack on Saturday in its home opener at 3 p.m.
