Fonda-Fultonville boys first, girls second at meet

TROY — The Fonda-Fultonville boys finished first and the Lady Braves were second at the Tri-County Indoor Track League meet Sunday morning at Hudson Valley Community College.

The Braves outscored Stillwater 144-89 for the title, while the Gloversville boys placed fourth at the meet with 42 points.

The Lady Braves were second to Stillwater in the teams standings, 106-95 and the Gloversville girls placed sixth with 32 points.

Christian Pearce led the Braves with his victory in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.7 and was second in the 300 meters with a 41.4 and second in the long jump with a leap of 17-05.5.

Myles Anderson won the 600 meters with a time of 1:35.3 and Trevor Cline was second in the event with a 1:38.1 and sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 31-10.

Carter Petersen won the pole vault, clearing the bar at 10-06 and placed fourth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.5

Michael LaVoie won the shot put with a toss of 35-04.75, while John Cressy was fourth with a toss of 32-01.25 and Adrian Claburn placed fifth in the event with a throw of 29-04.

The Braves sprint medley relay team of Liam Viscosi, Shane Viscosi, Brady Myles and Anderson hit the line first with a time of 4:04.3.

Myles also finished second in the triple jump with a jump of 35-07, while Shane Viscosi placed second in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:53.8 and Liam Viscosi was third in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.3

Scott Valachovic placed third in the high jump with a height of 5-02 and was third in the triple jump with a leap of 34-07.5 and fifth in the long jump with a 14-01.5.

Gus Snow placed third in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 8-0, while Michael Carpenter was sixth in the pole vault at 6-06 and Ryan Schopmeier placed sixth in the 300-meter dash with a time of 43.4.

Ryan Smith led the Gloversville boys with a third-place finish in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.0 and placed third in the long jump with a leap of 15-10.

Raymond Strauser finished second in the high jump with a height of 5-02, while Skyler Reed placed third in the 1,600-meter run with a 5:03.8 and John Carpenter placed third in the shot put with a toss of 32-10.

Emran Abbas was fifth in the 300 meters with a time of 43.0, while Devon Pinckney was fifth in the 1,600-meter run in 5:34 and Zack Rocas was sixth in the 1,600 with a 5:40.8. Paul-John Clet added a fifth place finish in the triple jump to the Huskies’ scoring with a leap of 33-07.5.

On the girls side, Haley Clear picked up the victory for the Lady Braves in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:51.2, while Sierra Rose won the shot put with a toss of 27-08 3/4 and Katelyn Babiarz was second in the shot with a toss of 27-02 and Julia Bagnardi was sixth with a toss of 24-06.

Emilia Vardai-Davidson was second in the long jump with a leap of 14-01 and was third in the triple jump with a 31-03.25

Guiliana Capperello placed third in the 55-meter hurdles with her time of 10.4, while Stella Williams placed fifth in the vent with an 11.2.

Jadeyn Cary-VanNostrand finished fourth in the 55-meter hurdles with her time of 11.0 and fifth in the long jump with a leap of 11-03.

Megan Mormile finished third in the high jump, clearing the bar at 4-03, while Marisa Mycek placed fifth in the event with a height of 4-0 and Madison Nichols finished fourth in the 300 meters with a time of 50.6.

The Lady Braves’ 1,600-meter sprint medley relay team of Vardai-Davidson, Nichols, Amaya Vainauskas and Kaitlyn Gray picked up the victory with a time of 5:14.3.

For Gloversville, Rhea Winter topped the field in the 300-meter dash with a time of 47.9 and placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 12-0.

Ashley Fisher was second in the 600 meters with her time of 1:57.2 and placed fifth in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 4:10.8, while Jordan DeMagistris finished third in the 55-meter dash with her time of 8.5.
