GALWAY — Canajohrie-Fort Plain and Galway finished with three champions apiece at the annual Greg Rockwood Memorial Wrestling Tournament Friday and Saturday at Galway High School.
The Eagles’ Joseph Scheeren (113), Brandon Grupe (120) and Sam D’Alessandro (220) all topped the podium, while Cody Haig (106), Jared Bentz (126) and Hayden Casler (182) picked up championships for Canajoharie-Fort Plain.
Shaker’s Jashon Holmes (99), Colby Pierson (132), Tyler Stanton (152) and Ryan Stein (195) all claimed championships, along with Catskill’s Jesse Davies (145), Logan Dennison (160) and Rich Forbes (170).
Lorenzo Scarano of Little Falls won the 138-pound title and Newark Valley’s Trentyn Rupert won the 285-pound division.
