South High captures Foothills tourney title

GLOVERSVILLE — The South Glens Falls Bulldogs turned in a strong afternoon performance to capture the Foothills Council Bowling Tournament title Friday at Arterial Lanes.

The Bulldogs edge host Gloversville 5,899-5,787 for the championship.

Schuylerville placed third with 5,433, with Amsterdam fourth with 5,360 pins.

Broadalbin-Perth finished sixth with 5,217 and Johnstown was eighth with 5,092 for the six-game tournament.

Broadalbin-Perth’s Matt Denise rolled the high game in the tournament with a 255, while Amsterdam’s Jon Shultz rolled the high six-game total of 1,311.

Schuylerville’s Colton Weatherwax rolled to top triple with a 664.
