Munday’s 2 HRs powers Mohawks

AMSTERDAM — J.D. Munday connected for two home runs and drove in six runs for Amsterdam in a 10-run fifth inning to lead the Mohawks to a 16-4 victory over Geneva in Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League action Thursday at Rao Family Stadium at Shuttleworth Park.

Munday also doubled for the Mohawks to go with his two run homer and grand slam both in the fifth inning.

Geordon Blanton also connected for a two-run home run in the fifth inning, while Max Costes added a solo home run in the inning.

The East Division leading Mohawks (16-3) return to Rao Family Stadium tonight to face the Albany Dutchmen (11-9). First pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m.
