Girls Soccer Roundup: Lady Braves lose to Schoharie

FONDA — Katelyn Krohn and Megan Krohn each had three goals to power Schoharie to an 8-1 victory over Fonda-Fultonville in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer contest at Boshart Field on Wednesday.

Jacquelyn Sullivan and Abigail Fagnani also scored for the Indians.

Stella Williams scored the lone goal for Fonda-Fultonville (1-4 overall, 1-1 WAC).

Maddy Bland made seven saves for Schoharie, while Emma Crahan made 10 stops for the Lady Braves.

Fonda-Fultonville is slated to host Mayfield on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Fort Plain 1, Mekeel Christian 1

FORT PLAIN — Cassandra Herron scored the lone goal for Fort Plain in a WAC draw with Mekeel Christian Academy.

Jo Galarneau scored the lone goal for Mekeel Christian.

Fort Plain (0-1-1 overall, 0-0-1 WAC) is scheduled to travel to Schoharie on Friday for a 4:30 p.m. contest.

Duanesburg 6, Canajoharie 2

DUANESBURG — Olivia Harris finished with three goals and two assists to lead Duanesburg to a WAC victory over Canajoharie.

Brooke Greco, Sam Kornbrek and Juliana Perillo also scored for the Eagles (2-2 overall, 1-1 WAC), while Valerie Schaeffer had an assist.

Caitlyn Baker and Taya Yacobucci scored for Canajoharie (0-4 overall, 0-1 WAC), while Gianna Murphy had an assist.

Hunter Pitcher made six saves for the Lady Cougars.

Center State Conference

Dolgeville 3, Adirondack 0

BOONVILLE — Rylee Lamphere finished with two goals and an assist to lead Dolgeville to a shutout victory over Adirondack.

Alexis Smith also scored for the Blue Devils, who outshot the Wildcats by a 12-7 margin.

Ryanne Williams made eight saves to post the shutout in goal for Dolgeville (2-1 overall), which is slated to travel to Frankfort-Schuyler on Saturday for an 11 a.m. contest.

Belle Kranbuhl finished with 11 stops for Adirondack.

Non-league

Hoosick Falls 2, Galway 0

GALWAY — Ally Hoag and Sophie Estes scored to lead Hoosick Falls to a non-league victory over Galway.

Logan Thayne made four saves to post the shutout in goal for the Panthers.

Hannah French made eight stops for Galway (0-3 overall), which is scheduled to travel to Waterford-Halfmoon on Friday for a 7 p.m. contest.
