Girls Soccer Roundup: Moore powers Northville to WAC victory over Fort Plain

FORT PLAIN — Brytney Moore finished with four goals and four assists to power Northville to a 13-0 victory over Fort Plain in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer contest Wednesday.

Grace Forsey netted three goals for the Lady Falcons, who led 9-0 at the half.

Madison Whittaker posted two goals and two assists for Northville, while Kaytelenn VanHeusen and Ciara Thompson each had a goal and two assists. Morgan Mackey registered a goal and an assist for the Lady Falcons, Hannah Lent scored once and Jaycee Frasier added an assist.

Emily Shepard made seven saves to post the shutout in goal for Northville (7-3 overall, 5-1 WAC), which is scheduled to travel to Waterford-Halfmoon for a non-league contest Friday at 7 p.m.

Fort Plain (0-5-2 overall, 0-3-2 WAC) is slated to face Saratoga Catholic in the WAC vs. Wasaren League Challenge at Afrim’s in Colonie on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Canajoharie 4, Mayfield 1

CANAJOHARIE — Three late goals lifted Canajoharie to a WAC victory over Mayfield.

The Lady Cougars scored three times in the final 13:33 to post the win.

Caitlyn Baker, Vanessa VanSlyke, Kylee Rickard and Giana Murphy all scored for Canajoharie, which notched its fourth win in five games. Mizel Fowler and Kaylee Haig each had an assist for the Lady Cougars.

Lindsey Hampton scored the lone goal for Mayfield (2-7 overall, 2-4 WAC).

Hunter Pitcher finished with 11 saves for Canajoharie (4-5 overall, 3-2 WAC), while Kat Knecht had eight stops for the Lady Panthers.

OESJ 3, Duanesburg 1

ST. JOHNSVILLE — Ashley Engle finished with a goal and assist to lead Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville to a WAC victory over Duanesburg at Soldiers and Sailors Field.

Bella Masi and Anderson Eggleston also scored for the Lady Wolves, who outshot the Eagles by a 19-10 margin.

Sam Kornbrek scored the lone goal for Duanesburg on a penalty kick.

Ashlee Shelmandine had nine saves for the Lady Wolves, while Allison O’Hanlon made 15 stops for the Eagles.

OESJ (6-1-1 overall, 5-0 WAC) is scheduled to face Hoosick Falls in the WAC/Wasaren League Challenge at Afrim’s in Colonie on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Fonda-Fultonville 2, Mekeel Christian 1

SCOTIA — Sierra Rose scored both goals to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a WAC victory over Mekeel Christian Academy at Maalwyck Park.

Jill Sandel and Stella Williams each had an assist for the Lady Braves, who outshot Mekeel Christian by a 23-4 margin.

Jo Galarneau scored the lone goal for Mekeel Christian.

Emma Crahan made three saves for Fonda-Fultonville (3-8 overall, 3-4 WAC), while Hannah Biscossi made 15 stops for Mekeel Christian.

Galway 4, Middleburgh 1

MIDDLEBURGH — Izzy Mancini finished with two goals and an assist to lead Galway to a WAC victory over Middleburgh.

Stephanie Martin and Anna Meisenburg also scored for Galway (2-7-1 overall, 2-3-1 WAC), while Emma Spadaro had two assists.

Andie Burton scored the lone goal for Middleburgh.

Hannah French made eight saves for Galway, while Cameryn Shultes had 12 stops for Middleburgh.

Schoharie 5, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 0

SCHOHARIE — Megan Krohn scored twice to lead Schoharie to a WAC victory over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Katie Krohn and Jacquelyn Sullivan also scored for Schoharie (7-0 WAC), who also benefitted from an own goal by the Bulldogs. MacKenzie Barton and Haley Drinon each had an assist for the Indians.

Maddie Bland and Hannah Cater each had one save to share the shutout in goal for Schoharie. Kaelyn LoBalbo made 10 stops for BKW.

Center State Conference

Little Falls 4, Dolgeville 1

DOLGEVILLE — Gabby Sylstra had a goal and an assist to lead Little Falls to a victory over Dolgeville.

Stella Rowley, Kylie Kress and Shayna Straney also scored for the Mounties.

Emma Bilinski scored the lone goal for Dolgeville on an assist from Rylee Lamphere.

Jadyn Hysack made seven saves for Little Falls, while Ryanne Williams and Dakota Jeffers combined to make 11 saves for the Blue Devils (6-3 overall).
