Girls Soccer Roundup: Schoharie gets past Northville, 3-1

NORTHVILLE — Katie Krohn finished with two goals to lead Schoharie to a 3-1 victory over Northville in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer contest Monday.

Megan Krohn also scored for the Indians, who outshot the Lady Falcons by a 17-7 margin.

Brytney Moore scored the lone goal for Northville (4-3 overall, 2-1 WAC), which is scheduled to travel to Mayfield on Friday for a 7 p.m. contest.

OESJ 2, Fort Plain 0

FORT PLAIN — Alexis Mumford and Alexis Klock scored to lead Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville to a WAC victory over Fort Plain on Monday.

Ashley Engle had an assist for the Lady Wolves, who outshot the Lady Hilltoppers by a 22-3 margin.

Ashlee Shelmandine made one save to post the shutout in goal for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (3-1-1 overall, 2-0 WAC).

Jenna Reese made 13 stops for Fort Plain (0-3-1 overall, 0-2-1 WAC).

Canajoharie 9, Mekeel Christian 3

SCOTIA — Caitlyn Baker netted three goals to lead Canajoharie to a WAC victory over Mekeel Christian Academy on Monday.

Kylee Richard finished with two goals and an assist for the Lady Cougars, while Victoriah Adams added a goal and an assist.

Giana Murphy, and Reagan Sala also scored for Canajoharie (1-4 overall, 1-1 WAC), which also benefitted from an own goal by Mekeel Christian.

Kelly Davidson, Kaylee Haig and Riley Brown all had an assist for the Lady Cougars.

Jo Galarneau scored twice for Mekeel Christian, while Tehillah Mbango also scored.

Hunter Pitcher made six saves to earn the win in goal for Canajoharie.

Galway 4, Fonda-Fultonville 1

GALWAY — Stephanie Martin and Izzy Mancini each had two goals and an assist to lead Galway to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fonda-Fultonville on Monday.

Gabby Scheeren had an assist for the Golden Eagles.

Fonda-Fultonville’s only goal came by way of an own goal by Galway.

Hannah French (8 saves) and Ruth Reichard (4 saves) combined to make 12 saves for Galway (1-4 overall. 1-1 WAC)

Emma Crahan had eight saves for Fonda-Fultonville (1-6 overall, 1-3 WAC), which suffered its fifth straight loss.

Center State Conference

Dolgeville 3, Frankfort-Schuyler 2

FRANKFORT — Alexis Smith, Emma Bilinski and Rylee Lamphere scored to lead Dolgeville to a victory over Frankfort-Schuyler on Saturday.

Hailey Traut and Brooke Linfield scored for Frankfort-Schuyler.

Dolgeville (3-1 overall), which has won three straight games, is scheduled to host Herkimer today at 4:30 p.m.
