“Fonda-Johnstown had many personal best times on the season this evening. Fonda-Johnstown won the majority of the events,” Fonda-Johnstown coach Ken Hoefs said. “However, Gloversville was the better team tonight because their depth was too much to overcome.”
Mariana Benvenuto won the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard individual medley for Gloversville-Mayfield. Novelana Rivera (1-meter diving), Sydney Yates (100 backstroke) and Isabell Embree (100 breaststroke) also posted wins for the Lady Sea Dragons.
Abigail Rizzo won the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle for Fonda-Johnstown, while Scout Huckans (50 freestyle) and Angelina Atwood (100 freestyle) also posted wins.
Fonda-Johnstown also won the 200 medley, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays.
In the 200 medley relay, Julia Norris, Jenna Weaver, Huckans and Rizzo won with a time of 2:18.27.
In the 200 freestyle relay, Delaney Grady, Weaver, Emma VanGorder and Atwood won with a time of 2:07.23.
In the 400 freestyle relay, Rizzo, Atwood, Norris and Huckans posted a winning time of 4:38.73.
Gloversville-Mayfield (3-1 overall) is scheduled to host Fonda-Johnstown at Gloversville Middle School on Oct. 3 at 4:30 p.m.
Fonda-Johnstown (1-2 overall) is slated to travel to Hudson Falls-South Glens Falls on Friday for a 4:30 p.m. meet.

AMSTERDAM — Queensbury won six of 10 events on its way to a Foothills Council victory over Amsterdam at Lynch Literacy Academy.
Susan Boczar (200-yard individual medley), Lauren Linehan (100 butterfly), Madison leaver (500 freestyle) and Laura Dickerson (1-meter diving) all posted event wins for the Spartans.
Queensbury also won the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
Azia Aldi (50 freestyle, 200 freestyle) and Fernedy Dotel (100 backstroke, 100 freestyle) each posted two wins for Amsterdam (0-3 overall).
The 100 breaststroke and 400 freestyle relay were contested as exhibition events.
Amsterdam is off until Oct. 1 when it is slated to travel to Hudson Falls-South Glens Falls.
