Girls Soccer Roundup: Canajoharie blanks Fonda-Fultonville, 2-0

FONDA — Caitlyn Baker and Kylee Rickard scored to lead Canajoharie to a 2-0 victory over Fonda-Fultonville in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer contest at John G. Boshart Field on Wednesday.

Hunter Pitcher made 10 saves to post the shutout in goal for the Lady Cougars.

Emma Crahan made five saves for Fonda-Fultonville (3-9 overall, 3-5 WAC).

The Lady Braves are scheduled to host Duanesburg on Friday at 7 p.m.

Canajoharie (5-6 overall, 4-2 WAC) is slated to travel to Northville on Friday for a 4:15 p.m. contest.

Mayfield 5, Middleburgh 0

MAYFIELD — Kelsey Meca scored twice to lead Mayfield to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Middleburgh.

Lindsey Hampton had two assists for the Lady Panthers, while Jordan Miller and Adrianna Yuret also scored. Jill Botch added two assists for Mayfield (3-8 overall, 3-4 WAC).

The Lady Panthers are scheduled to host Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville on Friday at 7 p.m.

Duanesburg 5, Fort Plain 1

DUANESBURG — Alex Moses had a goal and an assist to lead Duanesburg to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fort Plain.

Brooke Greco, Olivia Harris, Sam Kornbrek and Valerie Schaeffer also scored for the Eagles, while Juliana Perillo had two assists.

Molli Bates scored the lone goal for Fort Plain (2-6-2 overall, 0-4-2 WAC).

Allison O’Hanlon made four saves for Duanesburg (8-4 overall, 6-3 WAC).

Fort Plain is slated to travel to Middleburgh on Friday for a 4:15 p.m contest.
