Lady Bills run league win streak to 5 games

GLENS FALLS — The Johnstown Lady Bills extended their Foothills Council win streak to five games with a 62-36 victory over Glens Falls Thursday at Glens Falls High School.

Anna Lee led Johnstown (5-2 overall, 5-1 Foothills) with 22 points, including four 3-pointers, while Jaden Wilson added 11 points and Abigail VanValkenburgh his a pair of 3-pointers in her 10-point effort.

Ashley Bordeaux led Glens Falls with 12 points and Lexi Cutter finished with nine points.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS — Undefeated Amsterdam kept pace with also unbeaten Queensbury at the top of the Foothills Council standings with its victory over South High Thursday night.

Andie Gannon led the Lady Rams (5-0, 5-0) with 18 points, five rebounds and five steals, while Jackie Stanavich had a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds and Sierra Goodson hit four 3-pointers for 12 points to go with 11 points and seven assists from Sydney Hoefs.

Sydney Hart led South Glens Falls (2-3 Foothills) with 15 points and Hannah Breen added 13 points for the Bulldogs.

SCOTIA — The Lady Tartans defeated winless Schuylerville Thursday to pick up their first win of the season.

Jazmyne Corker led Scotia-Glenville with 15 points, including three 3-pointers, while Morgan Nichter added 10 points, and Megan Charnews and Olivia Geniti chipped in with seven points apiece.

Macey Koval led Schuylerville with 10 points and Eliza Barton finished with six points.
