Boys Basketball Roundup: Bouchard hits milestone in Dragons’ win

HUDSON FALLS — Dante Bouchard passed the 2,000-point barrier for his career to help Gloversville to a 72-52 victory over Hudson Falls in a Foothills Council boys basketball game Tuesday at Hudson Falls High School.

Bouchard reached the milestone with a layup late in the first half.

Bouchard, a senior, finished with a game-high 29 points, including five 3-pointers, to push his career total to 2,014.

Joey Rowback scored 17 points for the Dragons (17-3 overall, 16-2 Foothills), who outscored the Tigers 44-25 in the first half on their way to the win and finished the game with 11 3-pointers.

Jonathan Beagle finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead Hudson Falls (12-6 Foothills), while Riley Maddison added 11 points.

Both teams now await the pairings for the Section II Class A Tournament, which will be announced today.

The Patriots outscored the Tartans 32-17 in the first half on their way to the win.

Dante Calderone finished with 18 points for B-P (13-7 overall, 12-6 Foothills).

Antonio Cianfarini scored 14 points to lead Scotia-Glenville (5-13 Foothills).

SCHUYLERVILLE — Caydren Graveley scored 18 points to lead Amsterdam to a Foothills Council victory over Schuylerville.

The Rams outscored the Black Horses 31-10 in the third quarter on their way to the win.

Tyrell Douglas finished with 14 points for Amsterdam (10-10 overall, 10-8 Foothills), while Yandeel Vazquez added 12 points.

Cayden Rutland scored 22 points to lead Schuylerville (4-14 Foothills), while Owen Sherman added 14 points.

Amsterdam now awaits the pairings for the Section II Class A Tournament, which will be announced today.

JOHNSTOWN — The Johnstown boys basketball team had its home game with Queensbury postponed.

The game will take place today at 5:30 p.m. at Johnstown High School.
