Wells boys hoop earns sixth seed

WELLS — The Wells boys basketball team earned the sixth seed for the Section VII Class D Tournament.

The Indians (8-11 overall), who won the Section VII Class D title last season, will open their title defense at third-seeded Willsboro on Friday at 6 p.m.

Schroon Lake was seeded first, while Crown Point was seeded second. Keene earned the fourth seed and Boquet Valley was seeded fifth.

The Wells girls opted not to compete in the Section VII Class D Tournament. The Lady Indians finished the season with a 5-10 overall record.
