Johnstown’s Collin Cotter and Robin Kruggel were among those named to the 2019-20 Section II Alpine Skiing all-star team. Cotter was named to the boys first team, while Kruggel was named a second-team girls all-star. Cotter qualified for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Alpine Skiing Championships for the second straight year, while Kruggel made her first trip to states. Cotter was second at the Section II Championships in the slalom and fourth in the giant slalom. At this year’s state meet, Cotter was 15th in the slalom and 21st in the giant slalom. At the 2019 state meet, Cotter was 50th in the slalom and 36th in the giant slalom at Gore Mountain. Kruggel was seventh in the giant slalom at the Section II championships and 10th in the slalom event. At this year’s state meet, Kruggel was 13th in the giant slalom and was disqualified in the slalom.
