‘“We are now halfway into the season and yet we are continuing to struggle with the new racing format that COVID safety protocols require,’” Broadalbin-Perth coach Jeff Richards said. ‘“As a coach, this is my responsibility. I need to find a way to better prepare my team mentally for the demands this racing style requires. Glens Falls was better prepared than us and it showed. We are far faster than our results. Unfortunately, we are forgetting this out on the course. We continue to struggle without the pack running that we have always utilized. Somehow, I need to get my kids to believe in themselves and know that they can indeed run great on their own. If I can get this message across, we can still turn this thing around. The good news is we get another crack at every team again at the Foothills Championship. We still have the opportunity to prove to ourselves and everyone else that we are the great team I expected us to be and know we are.’”
