Field Hockey Roundup: Johnstown cruises past Glens Falls

JOHNSTOWN — Taryn Ringer finished with three goals to help Johnstown post a 9-0 victory over Glens Falls in a Foothills Council field hockey game Monday at Knox Field.

Kalena Eaton had two goals and an assist for the Lady Bills, Nicole Simon scored twice and Emily Fleming finished with a goal and an assist. Mackenzie Heffernan also scored for Johnstown (4-0 overall (3-0 Foothills), while Alexa Savage added an assist.

Emilia Haverly didn’t need to make a save to post her third shutout of the season for the Lady Bills, who finished with a 25-0 advantage in penalty corners.

Julianna Mitchell made 25 saves for Glens Falls.

Scotia-Glenville 13, Gloversville 0

SCOTIA — Olivia Geniti finished with three goals and two assists to lead Scotia-Glenville to a Foothills Council victory over Gloversville.

Angelina Regels had two goals and an assist for the Tartans, while Lia DiCarlo and Abby Espeti each scored twice.

Marlee Mancini, Hannah Pirano and Bridget Malone each had a goal and an assist for Scotia-Glenville, while Emma Malone also scored.

Hannah Kolesnikov made 15 saves for Gloversville (0-3 overall).

South Glens Falls 6, Schuylerville 0

SCHUYLERVILLE — Lillian Willis scored three goals to lead South Glens Falls to a Foothills Council victory over Schuylerville.

Emma Martens scored twice for the Bulldogs, while Lauren Willis had a goal and two assists. Jillian Willis added an assist for South Glens Falls.

Ava Reynolds made just one save to post the shutout in goal for the Bulldogs.

Lizzie Goodspeed made 25 saves for Schuylerville.
