H.S. Bowling Roundup: Johnstown tops Glens Falls

JOHNSTOWN — Mick Winton rolled a 215-592 to lead Johnstown to a 3-1 victory over Glens Falls in a Foothills Council bowling match.

Steven Hulbert posted a 225-591 for the Sir Bills, while Matthew Ferrara had a 188-505.

Jocelyn Smith posted a 268-655 to lead Glens Falls, while Sean Derrick rolled a 191-510. Michael Blockburger added a 185-503 for the Indians.

Johnstown (21-39 overall) finished with a 2,611-2,527 advantage in total pins.

The match was contested virtually with both teams bowling at their home lanes. Johnstown competed at Perry Lanes, while Glens Falls bowled at Kingpin’s Alley. The scores were combined later.

Broadalbin-Perth 2, Schuylerville 2

AMSTERDAM — Alex Filmer rolled games of 205 and 208 on his way to a 605 series to help Broadalbin-Perth earn a 2-2 draw with Schuylerville in a Foothills Council bowling match.

Jennah Graham posted a 226-581 for the Patriots and Jake Pavone added a 213-559.

Carson Griffin rolled a 233-649 to lead Schuylerville (18-30 overall), while Lucas Woodcock posted a 199-565. Nate Turcotte added a 187-496 for the Black Horses.

Broadalbin-Perth (32-32 overall) finished with a 3,119-2,998 advantage in total pins.

The match was contested virtually with both teams bowling at their home lanes. Broadalbin-Perth competed at Imperial Lanes, while Schuylerville bowled at Old Saratoga Bowl. The scores were combined later.
