Mayfield rallies to beat Dragons, 50-47

GLOVERSVILLE — Ethan Rohling scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help Mayfield earn a 50-47 victory over Gloversville in a Fulton County League boys basketball game Saturday.

The Panthers trailed 22-12 after one quarter before outscoring the Dragons 38-25 over the final three quarters to earn the win.

Britain Goodemote scored eight points for Mayfield, while Kyle Capparello added seven points.

James Collar scored 14 points to lead Gloversville, while Gio Glionna had 13 points and 13 rebounds. Garrett Dooling finished with 11 points for the Dragons.

Gloversville (0-2 overall) is slated to host Johnstown today at 6:30 p.m., while Mayfield (1-0 overall) is scheduled to host Northville today at 6:30 p.m.

BROADALBIN — Jackson Sassanella scored 15 points to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a 76-45 victory over Northville in a Fulton County League boys basketball game Saturday at Broadalbin-Perth High School.

The Patriots, who had 10 different players score, outscored the Falcons 51-16 in the first half on their way to the win.

Samuel Rogers finished with 12 points for B-P, while Ryan Savoie had 11. Ryan Visco and Dylan Tyler each had eight points.

Dan VanNostrand scored 20 points to lead Northville, while Jacob Frank finished with 16 points.

Northville (0-1 overall) is scheduled to travel to Mayfield today for 6:30 p.m. contest.

Broadalbin-Perth (2-0 overall) is slated to travel to Mayfield on Wednesday for a 6:30 p.m. game.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS — Cam Woodard scored 20 points to lead South Glens Falls to a Saratoga County League victory over Galway on Saturday.

The Bulldogs led 18-4 after one quarter and 40-11 at the half on their way to the win.

Thomas Prevost finished with 10 points for South Glens Falls.

Brendan Shader scored eight points to lead Galway, which is scheduled to travel to Saratoga Central Catholic for a 6:30 p.m. contest Tuesday.
