OESJ beats Gloversville for first win of the season

GLOVERSVILLE — The Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season Wednesday night, defeating Gloversville 44-29 in Montgomery County, Fulton County League crossover action at Gloversville High School.

Sydney Eggleston led the Lady Wolves with 13 points, while Alexis Mumford had 12 and Anderson Eggleston chipped in with 11.

Abbey Curtis celebrated her senior night with a 14-point performance that included three 3-pointers, while Brooke Dutcher and Lizzy Campione finished with four points apiece.

Mayfield 41, Northville 26

MAYFIELD — The Lady Panthers put together back-to-back victories, defeating Northville 41-26 in Fulton County League action Wednesday night at Mayfield High School.

Cloey Dopp led Mayfield with 22 points, while Katarina Agerter finished with seven points and six rebounds, and Kelsey Meca had six points, six steals and five assists to go with a career-best 13 rebound effort from Sallyann Agerter.

Madalyn Biche paced Northville with eight points, while Jaycee Fraiser finished with seven points and Sophia Reidell chilled in with four.

AMSTERDAM — Andie Gannon finished with a triple-double to lead Amsterdam to a 58-29 victory over Foothills Council rival Broadalbin-Perth Wednesday night at Amsterdam High School.

Gannon scored 20 points to go with 11 rebounds and 10 steals, while Jackie Stanavich had 11 points, nine rebounds and five steals to go with 10 deflections and 13 points from Antonia May.

Makenzie Smith led Broadalbin-Perth with 14 points, while Julia Mycek had seven and Brooke Bush and Emma Goebel scored three points apiece to go with two points from Kiaira Tomlinson.

DOLGEVILLE — Lydia Reimer scored a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead West Canada Valley to victory over Dolgeville Wednesday at Dolgeville High School.

Hanna Burdick added 15 points, six rebounda and four assists for the Indians, while Reese Fellows added a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Kerisa VanOlst paced Dolgeville with her 11 point, two-assist, two-steal effort, while Sydney Bliss chipped in with four points.

Monday, West Canada Valley opened the season with a 72-36 win over the Lady Blue Devils.

Fellows led West Canada Valley with 17 points, while Maggie Burdick and Reimer finished with 15 points apiece.

Audrey Williams paced Dolgeville with 12 points and four rebounds, while Alyson Congdon added nine points and three rebounds.
