JHS field hockey tops Bethlehem

DELMAR — Taryn Ringer had two goals and two assists to help Johnstown to a 5-1 victory over Bethlehem in a non-league field hockey contest Tuesday.

Jena Barker scored three goals for Johnstown, while Anna Lee, Kalena Eaton and Emily Fleming each had an assist.

Julia Harvey scored the lone goal for Bethlehem, which was outshot by a 57-9 margin.

Johnstown also finished with a 31-1 advantage in penalty corners.

Emilia Haverly made four saves for the Lady Bills, who rebounded from their first loss of the season, a 3-2 defeat at South Glens Falls in overtime Monday.

Johnstown (8-1 overall, 6-1 Foothills) is scheduled to travel to Glens Falls on Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
