Scotties rally to beat Amsterdam, 34-31

BALLSTON SPA — Amsterdam rallied rallied from a 12-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter to take a 31-28 lead but could not take home the victory as Ballston Spa scored as time expired to claim a 34-31 Class A victory on senior night Friday at Ballston Spa High School.

The Rams took the lead with a 5-yard touchdown pass from Jhai Vellon to tommy Ziskin and Andrew Welch added the extra point for a 31-28 lead with 44 seconds left.

The Scotties drove into scoring position and capped off the drive with a 25-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Kramer to Owen Walsh for the winning score as time expired.
