He was a three-year varsity basketball player at AHS. He averaged 17.8 points per game during his COVID shortened senior year. During his junior year he scored 329 points, averaging 15.7 points per game and posted a triple-double against South Glens Falls. A two-year Amsterdam girls varsity soccer starter, she was acknowledged as one of the top goalies in the Foothills Council, averaging 15 saves per game. A signing ceremony was held in the Amsterdam High School gym with his coaches, family and friends by his side. Alicea will be attending Castleton University in the fall and playing football for the Spartans. He was a two-year varsity football letterman at wide receiver and cornerback at AHS. He contributed on offense, defense, and special teams. He was named multiple times in his high school career as a defensive/special teams Player of the Week.
