Several area baseball players named to Foothills Council all-star team

A total of 17 area players were among those named to the recently announced Foothills Council baseball all-star team.

Amsterdam’s Noah Marshall was named a first-team all-star at pitcher and third base.

Spencer Cotugno (catcher) and Kai Brennan (outfield) also earned first-team honors for the Rams.

Broadalbin-Perth’s Luke Tambasco (first base) and Nicolino Bianco (designated hitter), and Gloversville’s Dane Dillenback (second base) also earned first-team honors.

Mike Magliocca was named to the second team as a pitcher and shortstop for Broadalbin-Perth, while D.J. Wallace (shortstop) and T.J. Platt (outfield) also were named to the second team for the Patriots. Amsterdam’s Manny Santos (pitcher) and Brady Foss (outfield) also were named to the second team. Santos also was named honorable mention at shortstop.

Gloversville had Alex Payne (first base), Kyle Robare (utility) and John Heimer (outfield) named honorable mention.

Other area players earning honorable-mention status were Broadalbin-Perth’s Ryan Savoie (pitcher), Johnstown’s Zach Tallon (pitcher) and Amsterdam’s Ryan Reagan (outfield).

Queensbury had Adrian Caron (pitcher, outfield), Tyler Spaulding (shortstop) named first-team all-stars, while Scotia-Glenville’s Andrew Wilson (pitcher) and Kyle Brown (outfield) also earned first-team honors. Caron also was named to the second team at first base.

Rounding out the first-team selections were South Glens Falls’ Dan Cohen (pitcher, utility) and Schuylerville’s Luke Sherman.

Queensbury also had Logan Smith (pitcher) and Sean Seely (outfield) named second-team all-stars, along with Scotia-Glenville’s Derek Robinson (catcher) and Ryan Allen (designated hitter).

Rounding out the second-team all-stars were Schuylerville’s Ryan Dow (pitcher) and Anthony Luzadis (utility); Hudson Falls’ Joe LaPan (third base) and South Glens Falls’ Josh Ahrens (outfield).

Scotia-Glenville had Aiden Streeter (pitcher), Micah Forgette (third base) and Jack Taylor (outfield) earn honorable-mention status.

Rounding out the honorable-mention selections were Schuylerville’s Brenden Steinberg (pitcher) and Carson Patrick (catcher); and South Glens Falls’ Brandon Stimpson (second base) and Jackson Salaway (outfield).
