Amsterdam boys’ basketball notched its eighth-straight win Tuesday defeating Scotia-Glenville 79-62 in Foothills Council action.
The Rams outscored the Tartans 26-6 in the first quarter, which proved to be insurmountable. The Tartans actually outscored the Rams over the final three periods.
Victor Dueno knocked down six of Amsterdam’s 10 3-pointers en route to 20 points. Cesar Thompson chipped in 19, Jhai Vellon had 17 and Alec Bartone contributed 13. Eddie Bradt scored 19 for Scotia-Glenville.
South Glens Falls won a back-and-forth affair against Broadalbin-Perth 52-45. Brady Smith scored 21 points for the Bulldogs. Ryan Savoie matched him with 21 of his own to lead the Patriots.
