HIGH SCHOOLS – Leigha Wiley went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs to lead Coxsackie-Athens to an 11-9 non-league softball win over Fonda-Fultonville on Friday. Wiley also pitched a complete game, allowing just three earned runs. Bella Bushane had two hits and two RBIs in the win. For Fonda-Fultonville, Scout Huckans and Emily Furnare each went 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Harper Huckans added three RBIs.
Meredith Montgomery had seven goals and one assist, while Lily Trowbridge added five goals and four assists in leading Queensbury to a 33-4 win over Johnstown in Foothills Council girls’ lacrosse. The Spartans had 12 goal scorers. Molly Sweeney scored all of Johnstown’s goals.
