High Schools: Fonda-Fultonville scores 17 in baseball win

Keegan Croucher went 3 for 3 with three runs to help lead a balanced Fonda-Fultonville attack in its 17-2 win over Middleburgh on Friday in Western Athletic Conference baseball action.

Will Hernigle went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and three runs for the Braves, with Jackson Croucher and Logan Yaggle each having two hits, including doubles, and two RBIs. John Shaw had a double and both RBIs for Middleburgh. 

GLOVERSVILLE FALLS

Emma Martens went 5 for 5 with two doubles, two triples, eight RBIs and four runs to lead South Glens Falls to a 26-2 win over Gloversville in Foothills Council softball. Jill Capozucca went 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs and five runs. Payton Dow and Ariana Ferraro each doubled for Gloversville.

Eliana Tirado went 4 for 4 with two home runs, two doubles, a walk and four RBIs, as Queensbury downed Amsterdam 18-1. Rosie Sculco doubled in Jamie Dawson for Amsterdam’s run.

Amanda Stacker went 3 for 4 with a double and a triple to lead Schoharie to an 8-3 win over Canajoharie in Western Athletic Conference action. She also drove in a run. Kirsten Hyney tripled and drove in a run to lead Canajoharie.

Fort Plain topped OESJ 15-5. Zoe Bladow had a double and a run for OESJ, and Hadley Crannell hit a triple.

WITCHES TOP JOHNSTOWN

Mackenzie Dixson had five goals and two assists to lead Greenwich in its 17-1 win over Johnstown in Foothills Council girls’ lacrosse. Jenna Barber scored for Johnstown.
