Jake Morin’s infield single scored Lorenzo Tambasco to give Broadalbin-Perth a walk-off 4-3 win over Johnstown in Foothills Council baseball on Friday. Zach Tallon doubled for Johnstown.
In a non-league game at Cooperstown’s historic Doubleday Field, Salem took advantage of six Galway errors to top the Golden Eagles 11-6. Cooper Saddlemire went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs. Josh Lovelass and Eli Tompkins led Galway with two hits apiece.
KOLPAKAS LEADS GALWAY
Amber Kolpakas struck out 17, and also doubled, drove in four and scored a run to lead Galway to a 10-2 softball win over Canajoharie in the Western Athletic Conference. Bridey Flint added three hits and a run. Kirsten Hyney struck out 13 for Canajoharie.
