The Johnstown and Amsterdam/Broadalbin-Perth boys’ lacrosse teams had several players named to the recently announced Foothills Council all-star team.
Johnstown’s Ryan Hoyt was named first-team attack after finishing the season with 60 goals and 32 assists.
Amsterdam/Broadalbin-Perth’s Tyler Osterhout was named first-team defender. He finished the season with 97 ground balls.
Amsterdam/Broadalbin-Perth also had Jackson Merritt (short-stick defensive midfield) and Kole Dominique (short-stick defensive midfield) named to the second team, while Johnstown’s Brandon Frank (defense) also earned second-team honors.
Johnstown had four players named honorable mention. Jordan Fox (offensive midfield), Andrew Lake (offensive midfield), Ben Stramezzi (long-stick midfield) and Vincent Ecker (goalie).
Amsterdam/Broadalbin-Perth’s Chris Tilley (long-stick midfield) also earned honorable-mention status.
Schuylerville had Ollie Bolduc (attack), Landen Cumm (offensive midfield), Otto Bolduc (offensive midfield), Dan Carozza (long-stick midfielder) and Connor Battle (defense) named to the first team.
Ollie Bolduc had 68 goals and 51 assists for the Black Horses this season, while Cumm had 39 goals and 18 assists. Otto Bolduc finished with 25 goals and 15 assists.
South Glens Falls placed Jack Walter (attack), Peyton Viger (offensive midfield), Justin Lary (long-stick midfield), Addison Willis (defense) and Trey Mallette (faceoff specialist) on the first-team, while Scotia-Glenville’s Bryce Lawton (goalie) and Noah Murdick (short-stick defensive midfield) also were named to the first team.
Rounding out the first-team selections was Queensbury’s Ethan Kelsey (short-stick defensive midfield).
South Glens Falls placed Hudson DeLisle (attack), Noah Hillaboe (long-stick midfield), John Attardo (defense) and Dennis Brady (goalie) on the second team, while Queensbury’s Michael Deutsch (attack), Brayden Shattuck (offensive midfield) and Ian Reynolds (offensive midfield) also earned second-team honors.
Rounding out the second-team selections were Scotia-Glenville’s Dylan Bzdell (attack), Glens Falls’ Lucas Doherty (offensive midfield), Scotia-Glenville’s Logan Layton (long-stick midfield), Schuylerville’s Andrew Carpenter (defense) and Schuylerville’s Martin Flanders (faceoff specialist).
Glens Falls had Aidan Gormley (attack), Jake Burns (offensive midfield), Aidan Harrington (defense), and Gavin Williams (midfield) named honorable mention, while South Glens Falls’ Dylan DiCaprio (attack), Maxwell Maziejka (offensive midfield) and Nick Manning (defense) also earned honorable-mention status.
Completing the honorable-mention selctions were Queensbury’s Ryan Sokol (attack), Hudson Falls’ Dalton Hogan (attack), Schuylerville’s Corbin Clements (attack), Queensbury’s Chase Baker (defense) and Scotia-Glenville’s Ryan Gaynor (defense).
