Galway sweeps past Waterford, 3-0

GALWAY — Amber Kolpakas had 13 kills to lead Galway to a non-league volleyball victory over Waterford with game scores of 25-19, 25-13 and 25-23. Julia reedy added nine kills 16 service points and four aces, while Kylee Decker had 14 assists, 14 service points and two aces and Grace O’Brien finished with four kills and two blocks. The Amsterdam at Broadalbin-Perth and Fonda-Fultonville at Mayfield volleyball matches were postponed Thursday when Montgomery County’s COVID-19 positivity rate rose to 4.3 percent. Per the Montgomery County Public Health Department’s guidance, schools are not allowed to play teams from outside the county when the rate surpasses 4 percent.
